Community Education and Outreach

LIA offers a variety of interactive workshops focused on informing the public about their civil rights and liberties when navigating a sensitive immigration status, and dealing with the police, ICE, Border Patrol, & other law enforcement agencies. Additionally, we co-host workshops with attorneys & other partners on topics that affect the immigrant community. Our community partners include agencies like the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Immigrant Legal Resource Center(ILRC), Texas Immigration Legal Council (TXILC) & Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid (TRLA), among others.
