Sessions

Community Education and Outreach

LIA offers a variety of interactive workshops focused on informing the public about their civil rights and liberties when navigating a sensitive immigration status, and dealing with the police, ICE, Border Patrol, & other law enforcement agencies. Additionally, we co-host workshops with attorneys & other partners on topics that affect the immigrant community. Our community partners include agencies like the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Immigrant Legal Resource Center(ILRC), Texas Immigration Legal Council (TXILC & Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid (TRLA).

Our community workshops offer families the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to become active participants in their own lives. Our workshops are led by professional and trained facilitators, and attendees will receive resources and support to help them become informed and empowered. Through our workshops, families can gain the knowledge and skills to shape their lives and the lives of their communities; If interested on a session for your organization please contact info@laredoimmigrantalliance.org
