Our Mission
Established in 2017, Laredo Immigrant Alliance is a 501c3 non-profit led by directly impacted individuals seeking to create change in the lives of immigrant families in Laredo and Webb County through education, advocacy and organizing.
Our Story

The implementation of SB4 law and DACA's potential termination in 2017, were two of the major drives in creating a space to fight against the oppression of immigrant communities, more specifically in the border town of Laredo, Texas, in Webb County LIA's hometown.
​
LIA has since created partnerships & connections with allies, and organization at the local, state, and national levels. These partnerships have had a tremendously positive impact on local residents in need of services such as, detention visitation & monitoring , DACA renewal support, legal access and community workshops.

.We envision a just society where all immigrants, regardless of status, live in a safe and supportive environment that fosters human dignity at its core.
