LIA is a group led by immigrants and allies that fight for immigrant rights. It does so by engaging, educating, and organizing the community.
Mission
The Laredo Immigrant Alliance is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and promoting the rights of immigrants in our community. Our mission is to create a safe and welcoming environment for immigrants and their families, and to provide resources and support to individuals and families facing deportation or other immigration issues.
We raise awareness of the needs of immigrant communities and advocate for change at the local, state and national levels. Through our programs and services, we strive to create a world where all immigrants are treated with dignity and respect, and have access to the resources, support and opportunities they need to thrive.
