Detention Visitation & Monitoring 

The Detention Visitation & Monitoring Program (DVMP) is the central division of the Laredo Immigration Alliance (LIA) that is tasked with fulfilling LIA’s overall mission to abolish detention centers in Laredo, Texas, and surrounding areas. To this end, the DVMP consists of several concurrent operations: monitoring, documenting, and exposing human rights violations stemming from U.S. detention center practices and operations.
